About Us

What is a Resilience Hub?

A Resilience Hub is a group of neighbors who come together to prepare Waianae for disasters — hurricanes, floods, tsunami, and more. We define our own community, learn our own place, and write our own plan.

"No ʻAneʻi" means we belong here. Preparedness starts with knowing our history, our land, and our neighbors — and grows into a responsibility we carry for each other.

How it works

1

Come to a meeting

No experience needed — just show up and meet your neighbors.

2

Describe our community

Together we map our geography, history, and what makes Waianae, Waianae.

3

Write a plan

We turn what we learn into a household and community emergency plan.

4

Practice together

Trainings, drills, and events keep the plan alive and the Hub connected.
